CaraVita Home Care was founded to provide professional home care services in Metro Atlanta in 1998 by a geriatric specialist and licensed physical therapist. Our goal was to keep our clients independent in their homes for as long as possible. Our professional staff has combined experience of over 75 years in the health care management field. Our staff includes licensed RNs, a licensed PT and professional office personnel to assist with any questions both during business hours, after hours and on weekends.
CaraVita Home Care comes to your residence so that you or your loved one can be cared for in a familiar and comfortable environment. A free home evaluation to assess home care needs after surgery or rehab is also available.
If you just need a break or find a more permanent solution ask about our special packages. We offer a variety of services or we can design a special service to address your individual needs.

Beth Cayce | Founder & CEO
“Each day, our team works with families using our skills and training to develop a home program that restores vitality and health. This is a meaningful interaction, and a loving care. I am proud to serve our families in this life giving endeavor.”
For more than 30 years Beth has provided leadership, rehabilitation and health management services in a variety of senior living and health care settings including North Fulton Hospital, Piedmont Hospital, Northside Hospital, Wesley Woods and Community Home Health.
After leaving a large organization where she was responsible for the care of more than 3300 seniors each day, Beth decided to serve the community where she lives. Her goals for the business are to help people stay as independent as possible at home.
A tireless advocate for seniors, Beth played a critical role in the passage of the Aging in Place Bill (SB178), which permits communities to provide additional services to seniors in a setting of their choice.
Beth was named a Finalist for the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Person of the Year for 2011, and she also serves as the Legislative Chair for the Assisted Living Federation of Georgia, board member for both Georgia Watch and Care to Learn Intl, Chairman of the Global Mission Team at Roswell United Methodist Church, and Management Agent for both The Springs of Simpsonville and Woodland Ridge assisted living facilities.
Amy Brannen | Director of Operations
Amy joined CaraVita in 2005 as a Resident Services Manager for an assisted living community in Athens. In 2006, she was promoted to Operations Manager. Her background includes public service work for Charleston County as a detective, and as a fraud investigator in the private sector. Amy is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, a geaduate with honors from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Academy and a member of the 2010 Leadership North Fulton class. Taking care of her own family through a variety of illnesses and diseases and hospice care became the early foundation for her career in caregiving. Amy cites the individualized attention given to clients as a source of pride in her work at CaraVita Home Care.
Laura Cayce | Geriatric Care Manager
Laura Cayce joined the CaraVita staff in 2010. She earned her Master degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Gerontology from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Laura is a licensed Master of Social Work and Advanced Social Worker in Case Management.
Laura is passionate about helping seniors and families during difficult life transitions and serves to promote ones independence and self-determination. Her clinical experience includes discharge planning and family counseling for a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. She has provided individual and group counseling, has worked for several home health agencies and served with the Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Over the last 35 years Nancy has been developed expertise in health care, aging and wellness. She has both operational and marketing management experience in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, independent/assisted living and continuing care communities. She recently joined CaraVita Home Care as Director of Business Development. Nancy is exited to assist and support seniors as they “age in place” in their own homes through personalized care giving, utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach and assistive technology. Prior to CaraVita, Nancy was the Regional Marketing Director for The Arbor Company.
Nancy received her BA from Boston University Magnum Cum Laude where she studied Occupational Therapy. As well, she holds her MSM in Health Sciences Management from Lesley College.
Ginny Calloway | Controller
Ginny Callaway, a controller and accountant since 1991, has 18 years experience in financial accounting. She provides accounting and financial services for CaraVita Homecare and CVSC, LLC. Her technical skills in financial statement preparation, process development, and internal control for businesses provide a very valuable base of knowledge. Ginny is able to balance her attention to the company needs yet always finds time to cheerfully assist clients in researching their statement, payments or insurance coverage.
Through her many years of experience with accounting systems and software, she is uniquely capable of bridging the gap between software and implementation needed to produce results. She enjoys golf and is an avid reader.
Tracey McDonough | Office Manager
Tracey McDonough has worked with Beth Cayce since 1997 on various projects ranging from market studies, business plan development as well as layout and design work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a double major in Advertising and Psychology and a business minor. She also has vast experience as a graphic designer and has developed many of the marketing pieces and collateral for CaraVita Home Care. Tracey currently holds the position of office manager at CaraVita Home Care, and coordinates scheduling along with recruiting and hiring talented caregivers.
Tracey enjoys helping others and assisting clients in finding the caregiver that best meets their needs and personalities. Her favorite part of working at CaraVita Home Care is helping families realize the benefits of accepting help from others and understanding that it is okay to allow a caregiver to give them a much deserved break.
Kathy Kloss | Clinical Services/Registered Nurse
Kathy M Kloss began her career at Cara Vita in 2010, as a registered nurse. She credits her ongoing interest and passion for seniors as the driving force behind her work.
Prior to joining CaraVita, Kathy served in cardiac-surgical units of hospitals in both Ohio and Boston. She has additionally spent more than 10 years as nurse anesthetist. She holds a BSN from the University of Akron, Ohio and certifications in nursing from Kennesaw State University and the School of Nurse Anesthesia, New Haven, CT. When taking a break from serving her community, Kathy enjoys gardening and cooking.
Connie O’Keefe | Community Liason/Registered Nurse
Connie joined the CaraVita professional team in 2011. With more than thirty years of professional experience in various positions directing membership, marketing and sales, Connie provides insight across many critical business functions. She is the former Director of Marketing for Sandy Springs Internal Medicine. She has also served as a staff RN at St. Joseph’s hospital caring for critically ill patients. Her management experience also includes experiences spanning from pharmaceuticals to medical products. Her passion for health and wellness serve as not only a career, but also a hobby. She loves the cutting edge advances that allow seniors to “Age in Place” with dignity intact.
Connie is a Board Member of the Women’s Guild at All Saints Catholic Church and a volunteer for Cure Cancer. She is an outdoor enthusiast who loves wildlife, hiking and cycling. Connie is a graduate of Polyclinic School of Nursing in Harrisburg, PA. She also attended Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences, holding a BS in Management and Marketing. She also holds a certifications in Nursing from Kennesaw State University.
Bhumika Patel | Scheduler
Bhumika Patel joined CaraVita in June 2011, working to build the CaraVita team. She is the first person to interact with new applicants, assessing nursing and care competency across a variety of professional functions. She is also a resource to the existing caregiver staff; utilizing her talents to train staff, schedule caregivers, assist clients and coworkers. Educated in both India and California, Bhumika is Certified Nurses Assistant and Meds Tech.
Prior to joining CaraVita; she has worked in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities and as a Business Manager.
Barbara Sidwell | Scheduler
With more than 35 years of healthcare experience, Barbara is an experienced asset for the CaraVita team. She began her career as a caregiver at Dekalb General Hospital (which is now Dekalb Medical Center). An experienced nurse's aide, Barbara has also served roles in geriatric rehab; Alzheimer’s and hospice care.
Barbara came to CaraVita in 2004 as an administrative assistant to the director. At CaraVita, she has served in the roles of caregiver, interviewer, on call supervisor and scheduler for clients and staff. Currently, she directs after hours on-call coordination and the scheduling of caregivers.
